BIOGRAPHY

If I Close My Eyes I Can See so Much More.

Hi!

My name is Jessie and I'm happy to be here to share some of myself with those interested. I was born and raised in downtown Toronto. At the tender age of two, without knowing it, I was practicing meditation. At the age of five, I was improvising on my first keyboard. My shamanic abilities flowed and my musical tendencies flourished alongside them. I grew up understanding and honing them on my own, but keeping things to myself.

I only shared my music with one or two friends growing up and didn't share my other worldly experiences with anyone until my mid 20's as I dove further into my meditation and learning about the cosmic connections I was feeling. Now I'm ready to share even more as I combine my visual arts background with what's been stirring within me this whole time. Ready to release itself into the world. For whomever wants to explore with me.

I attended the Natural Science School on Toronto Islands, which meant I was surrounded by nature and animals. I was in my element. I leaned toward the arts in high school and took acting, photography and film. This led me to complete a B.F.A in Film Studies at Ryerson University.

In 2017, I plunged into my first Women's Circle where, while singing as a group, I found out how powerful my singing voice is and the impact it has on others. Not long after, I experienced my first soundbath and it felt like coming home. I went to a couple more by Darren Austin Hall before enrolling and completing his Source Resonance Training. Sharing my voice during the course, I became closer to myself as I gained more confidence to finally let my hidden Sourced Singing be heard.

What is Sourced Singing (A term I literally just came up with as I published the website)? It’s when I let myself get into a meditative state and allow the messages from all kinds of unseen forces come through – and flow through my voice. A personal spiritual flow. Most of my vocals and keyboards come through in this way.

Which is to say… I don’t know how to read or write music! Nor do I have vocal training. I dabbled in voice and music lessons in my late 20's for a few months but only got frustrated as I found it stripped the art and freedom out of it for me. I just love to play and I want to share what comes of that with you.

There may sometimes be “imperfections", but I like to try and keep them in the edits as they are raw and real. I'm not aiming to be perfect by any means. If anything, I aim to embrace the imperfections of what I create. For there is such a pure magnificence to creating in the moment.

The last two years, I've thoroughly enjoyed working events as a singer or soundbath facilitator but there is so much more wanting to burst forth. So, I’m so excited to share the next level of my creativity and inspiration with whomever flows through here!

*** Please note that all vocals, film footage, photography and post-production are by yours truly.

Welcome to my world of spiritual, visual and musical expression!
